Reverse Mentoring : Being a Mentor

Reverse mentoring is part of a wider inclusive leadership journey and entails that the leader takes the learning seat, acting as a mentee, and a more junior employee becomes the mentor.Through these relationships leaders can gain insight into experiences different from their own in ways that can shift their underlying assumptions, help them acquire new perspectives, and ultimately become more inclusive leaders. The mentor will have the opportunity to support the change they want to see in the organization, with the added benefit of exposure to senior leadership and an expanded professional network.
